Every time I visit the Philippines, buying sampaguita leis is the first thing I do. Best smell in the world. I think about these kids often, their struggle and incredible resilience, how they find joy in the smallest things despite the hustle. We exchange gratitude in those moments and it stays with me long after I leave.
